Energy source

Rule of energy conservation - According to the law of energy conservation, energy cannot be produced and can not be disabled it can only be converted from one form to another.
The total energy stays preserved during any physical or chemical process.
There are various kinds of energy and a method like energy can be converted into another form, For example, if we drop a plate to a height most of the potential energy of the plate is converted into sound energy when bumping into the floor. If we burn a candle, then this process is highly thermophilic and on this function, the candle becomes converted into chemical energy, thermal energy, and light energy.

The energy possible in the application mold dies in a relatively less disposable form in the surroundings. Therefore any source of energy used to work is consumed and can not be used again.

Best Fuel: The fuel which works more per acre volume or an integral mass, is easily accessible and easy to transport is known as best fuel.
Properties of a Best Fuel:
(i) fewer pollutants.
(ii) There is more work per unit volume or by acre mass.
(iii) which is easily accessible.
(iv) which is easy to transport and transport.
(v) cheaper

Types of reservoirs of energy based on availability

  • Renewable sources: The sources of energy available in unlimited quantities and whose production and use can be done year-to-year, is called a renewable source of energy. Such as wind, water, biomass, solar energy, ocean energy, etc.
  • Non-renewable sources: Those sources of energy that exist terminated, which are available in limited quantities and which can not be used for long are called non-renewable sources of energy. Such as coal, petroleum and natural gas, etc.

Differences in renewable sources and non-renewable sources:
Renewable sources:

  • Sources which are available in unlimited quantities.
  • They can be composed and used for years.
  • That is not a perfect source.

Example: air, water, biomass, solar energy, ocean waves, etc.

Non-renewable sources:

  • Sources that are available in limited quantities.
  • They cannot be designed and used for years.
  • That is the endowment source.

Example: coal, petroleum and natural gas etc.

Source of energy based on usage:

  • Traditional sources of energy.
  • Non-conventional sources of energy or alternative sources.

Traditional sources of energy:
Fuels that are created by the remains of living beings after billions of years of biological process. Fossil fuel is designated.
Such as coal, petroleum and natural gas etc.

Coal dependence as a source of energy:

  • The use of coal has made possible the Industrial Revolution.
  • To meet the growing demand for energy, we still rely on fossil fuel-coal and petroleum.
  • Even today, most of the total consumption of energy (about 70%) is met from coal.

The utility of Fossil Fuels as a Source of Energy (Merits):

  • In the form of domestic fuel - coal, kerosene and natural gas.
  • Use in vehicles - petrol, diesel, and CNG, etc.
  • Use of coal and other fossil fuels in the thermal power  plant.

Losses of burning fossil fuels:

  • These generate smoke when it is lighting, which causes air pollution.
  • Burning the oxides releases the oxides of carbon, nitrogen, and sulfur, which are the main causes of acid rain.
  • They release CO2, methane and carbon monoxide which increase the greenhouse effect.

Hydrogen Technology

All technologies related to the production and use of hydrogen come under hydrogen technology. Hydrogen technology is being used in many areas or maybe. Some hydrogen technologies are carbon neutral and can play an important role in preventing climate change and the establishment of a future hydrogen economy.
Mudwatt Micro fuel cell (Dirt Battery) is a device that converts organic matter found in the soil into electricity by using bacteria.
Here I will tell you how to make a Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC) Using Mud, how can we create a Microbial fuel cell by ourselves with any Mudwatt Science Kit.
Materials needed to make Mudwatt:

  • Mudwatt core, classic, DeepDig
  • Mud
  • One container (if you are using the core kit)

HOW MUDWATT WORKS:
Mudwatt is a fun educational science kit that naturally uses micro-organisms found in the soil to make electricity. These microbes are so small that we can not see them with their eyes, their body thickness is one-tenth of their thickness, which is also found in all types of soil and plants.
There are also many species of these bacteria which emit electrons in the outer environment with breathing.
From Mudwatt, these micro-organisms can use two conductive graphite discs such as anode and cathode (Cathode).
An anode is placed in the middle of the soil where electrogenic microbes develop, whereas the cathode is placed above it, where the oxygen exposes from the air.
Step 1: Making Mud -
Take 3-4 handfuls of mud from any swamp. The soil should be wet but not very thin.
Option: You can add some other nutrients in the soil such as Mudwatt packaging, shredded paper or waste food.
Step 2: Making Electrodes -
Give the two wires at 90 degrees, peel the wire straighten the anode to the colored wire and make the cathode of the second color wire. Now wear gloves in hand, insert the bare part of the anode wire into the side of the thin felt disc and insert the cathode wire into a thickly felt disc.
Step3: Assembling -
First, make a minimum of 1-centimeter thick clay sheet on the lower surface of the container. Now put the anode over the clay sheet and press it lightly, this will bring some air bubbles out of it.
Now fill the container with a 5 cm thick clay sheet and press it lightly. Let it stay for some time now and if possible, remove the water from that container, through any medium. Now place the cathode on the soil comfortably, not pressing it in the soil.
Step 4: Closing circuit -
1. Launch your gloves and add the Hacker board.
By turning the cathode wire, add the '+' sign of the hacker board and the anode wire to the '-' sign.
What is the Hacker Board?
You can also buy hacker board circuits from the market. This low current (which meets the mudwatt and converts the low voltage to the short burst of higher current and higher voltage, now you can connect it to an LED, for which you have to use the capacitor up to 10uF. After that, you will see that when the Mudwatt creates a healthy environment with microbes, the LED burn will begin.

What are solar cells?

Solar cell is an electronic device that makes electricity from sunlight. Solar cells are often called solar modules, and small solar cells are bundled together to make large solar panels (which you see on people's houses, usually on the roof).
Battery is made to create electricity from the solar panel and to collect its energy, which we keep for our use.
Solar cells are also called photovoltaic cells, because the word photo is taken from the Greek language, which means light.

The sun's light is made of very small photons, which shines in the sun's light. If you bring one of the solar cell rods into the sun's light then it will convert this light into the stream of electrons, it is called the widow flow.
Each cell generates some voltage of electricity, so the work of a solar panel is to combine the energy produced by many cells, which increases the amount of useful electrical current and voltage.
Today all of the solar cells are made of silicon slices (one of the most common chemical elements on the earth, is found in the sand) However, as we will see soon, many other materials can be used (or instead of) is. When the sunlight lights on a solar cell, the energy explodes outside of silicon. They can be forced to flow around the electric circuit and anything that moves on electricity.

How are solar cells made?
Silicon is neither a conductor nor an insulator: it is a semiconductor that usually does not take electricity, but in certain circumstances we can do it. The solar cell is a sandwich of two different layers of silicon, which is specially doped so that they can give electricity through them in a special way.
The lower layer is covered, so there is little electron in it, it is called P-Type or Positive-type silicon. Doping in the opposite direction to give the upper layer a bit more electrons, it is called the N-type or negative-type silicon.
When we put an N-type silicon layer on the layer of P-type silicon, then a layer becomes called a junction. No electron can cross this junction, even if we do not apply any voltage to this silicon sandwich.

But if we put light on silicon, then the photons enter the junction of silicon, and they release their energy in silicon. Energy electrons open out of the lower, P-type layer, so they jump over the N-type layer from the top and flow around the circuit.
As we put more light on silicon, the more photons leave their energy inside them and the flow of the electron increases, which causes more current flows.
